Often free spirited, or entrepreneurial, some are looking for a new life and a new partner to share it with, some seek business and investment opportunities in Thailand.
Boomers in transition
This group, typically ranging in age from 50 to 65, and is going through a positive and planned life transition. They are changing homes (either building or moving) due to empty nest syndrome, retirement plans, general down sizing desires, or to just get closer to the golf course, or live in a warmer climate. Their surprisingly high level of discretionary income is first spent on travel, with home improvements a close second. This group may not be aware of Thailand, they may or may not have considered a second home overseas, or relocation to a home in the sun.
Frequent Tourists
This group aged from 30 to 75 they are recurrent travelers, they are socially active away from home but usually with families or business interests back in their home countries, they visit Thailand at least once a year, they have discretionary income and can afford to own a second home.
